Response Arrangements
The competent authority in the Republic of Cape Verde for maritime affairs is the Maritime and Port Directorate within the Ministry of Transport and Communications. No contingency plan is known to exist and no formal response arrangements exist.
Response Policy
There is no official clean-up policy. Similarly, although no official policy on disposal exists, disposal of oily waste by burying would represent the most rational method.

No specialised anti-pollution equipment is known to exist.

There do not appear to have been any major spills.
