INTERSPILL 2015, Amsterdam, 24-26 March 2015
ITOPF is on the steering committee for the Interspill 2015 Conference and Exhibition which this year focuses on the changing landscape of spill preparedness and response as E&P and shipping activities continue to move into more challenging environments, and public sensitivities to perceived spill risks increase.
ITOPF is chairing sessions and presenting a number of papers at this event:-
On Tuesday 24th March, Kelly Reynolds will be chairing a session on Shoreline Issues. She will also be presenting a paper entitled "Are post spill environmental studies becoming the norm?" the following day.
On Wednesday 25th March, Dr Franck Laruelle will be taking part in the Future Risks: Arctic session and presenting a paper on ITOPF's perspective on current challenges in responding to an oil spill in the Arctic.
Also on Wednesday, Tim Wadsworth will be chairing a session on Emerging Technologies and Strategies.
On Thursday 26th March, Dr Nicola Beer will be presenting a paper entitled "Marine Pollution Impacts on Seabirds - Understanding and Managing the Risks".
The day before the conference, Monday 23rd March, ITOPF will be jointing running two short educational courses with OSRL on "Oil Spill Fundamentals: All you ever wanted to know about oil spills but were afraid to ask".
