Joint Preparedness Workshop on the ASEAN Regional Oil Spill Contingency Plan, Selangor, Malaysia, 2nd-6th July 2018

ITOPF has been invited to participate in this regional workshop organised by IMO and <link http: www.gisea.org>GI SEA, with considerable support from the Marine Department of Malaysia. One of the principal objectives of the workshop is to develop and implement the Regional Oil Spill Contingency Plan, which addresses the mechanisms and coordination process among ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member states. Delegates from ASEAN member states will attend the workshop to provide updates on each country, and agree on a roadmap for implementing the ASEAN Memorandum of Understanding.

Dr Ann Zhang will present on Transboundary Response and Cooperation. Together with IMO, OSRL and IPIECA, ITOPF will also deliver a table top exercises for the delegates.
