ITOPF to Launch Response to Marine Oil Spills Film Series
ITOPF is to launch a new series of seven films on oil spills, their impacts, effective response and compensation. The films are designed to promote good practice and raise awareness of some of the issues involved in oil spill response. They incorporate footage shot on location at oil spills worldwide since 2007, combined with interviews and archive film from the major incidents of the last 45 years.
Two of the films will be launched at a screening and drinks reception at the Barbican Centre on Wednesday 30 April at 6.30pm. The screening will begin at 7pm and last approximately one hour, followed by a reception until 10pm.
Further films in the series will be showcased a special reception at the International Oil Spill Conference in Savannah, Georgia in the week commencing Monday 5th May.
