Technical Team Manager, Franck Laruelle and Technical Adviser, Angela Pinzón Espinosa facilitated a two-day RETOS workshop in Israel as part of the National Workshops on Oil Spill Response Planning and Readiness Assessment in the Adriatic, Central and Eastern Mediterranean organized by the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC).

ITOPF grants 12th annual Research and Development (R&D) award to PLASTOIL project by Cedre
ITOPF is pleased to announce the winner of its 2023 Research and Development (R&D) award as the PLASTOIL project, with funding granted to the Centre for Documentation, Research and Experimentations on Accidental Water Pollution (CEDRE).
ITOPF attends spill in the Philippines
ITOPF arrived on scene in Mindoro on 1 March to assist in the response to the fuel oil spill from the sunken tanker PRINCESS EMPRESS. ITOPF remains on-scene with team members working in rotation to conduct shoreline and aerial surveys, inform responders on the fate and behaviour of oil at-sea to plan operations effectively, recommending suitable clean-up techniques and methods of waste disposal, and advising on environmental and socio-economic impacts.
HNS Convention takes place at IMO Building with ITOPF in attendance

ITOPF attends IMO Legal Committee
Tim Wadsworth attended the 110th meeting of the Legal Committee (LEG110) at the International Maritime Organization last week to support approval of the finalised text of the Claims Manual for the 2001 Bunkers Convention.
