China Oil Transportation Safety Forum, Nanjing, 21 October 2015

Our China Liaison Officer Rose Ying attended the 2015 China Oil Transportation Safety Forum in Nanjing, China, hosted by CCS, CNOOC and SinoTrans & CSC Holdings Co Ltd. We had a small display area at conference and Rose took the opportunity to raise awareness of our role to the 120 plus attendees, many of whom were representatives from major shipping companies in the region.

Mr ZHAO Chongjiu from the Ministry of Transport opened the conference with a keynote speech entitled "Enhancing safety management and creating a new situation of oil transportation development". The three main hosts of the forum also delivered speeches, sharing their experiences and discussing best practice for oil transportation safety. The Forum also looked at recent trends for the industry and current issues affecting tankers.
