ESG in Marine Casualties Workshop takes place in London
18 December 2024
Building on the successes of the first event, the second iteration of ESG in Marine Casualties Workshop took place last week in London, co-organised by ITOPF, Marittima Ltd., Polaris Applied Sciences Inc, and Triox Environmental Emergencies.
The event hosted discussions around the progress made in the last year in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations across the industry. Panel sessions focused on the strategic and practical perspectives of sustainability in relation to marine casualties.
These sessions were followed by interactive discussions on the lifecycle of an incident and where more sustainable processes and actions can be inserted, as well as the management tools and frameworks available to achieve a higher degree of sustainability during a response.
A wide variety of delegates gathered to participate including pollution response specialists, P&I insurers, salvors and other marine industry stakeholders, ensuring a balanced range of input throughout the day.
