Global Initiative for South East Asia (GI SEA) regional workshop takes place in Singapore

GI SEA hosted a regional workshop alongside the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) focused on incident response and cost recovery.

Among the IMO, IOPC Funds and the International Group of P&I Clubs, ITOPF were in attendance and represented by Technical Adviser, Dr Conor Bolas.

Conor delivered a training session on compensation for clean-up and prevention measures, as well as a presentation covering ITOPF’s involvement in two recent spill response case studies. A specific focus was given to the considerations of the clean-up operations and the new threats posed by nurdle (plastic pellets) pollution.
