ITOPF attends Claims and Compensation Workshop in Estonia

ITOPF led a national workshop on Claims and Compensation in Tallinn, Estonia, on 16th and 17th August. Presentations were also provided by the IOPC Funds, the International Group of P&I Clubs and the Ministry of Environment of Estonia. Topics covered included the international conventions, national legislation, the presentation and assessment of claims, claims for environmental damage and clean-up, and preventive measures.  The workshop was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Interior, Police and Border Guard Board, the Estonian Prosecutor´s Office, the Estonian Environmental Board, the Estonian Transport Administration, as well as private maritime lawyers.
