ITOPF contributes to Ipieca week

ITOPF contributed towards Ipieca week’s Marine Spill Group and Hazardous Noxious Substances (HNS) workshops last week with presentations, case studies and key input for group discussions derived from our extensive spill response experience.

Technical Advisers, Dr. Amy Jewell and Susannah Domaille were on hand representing ITOPF with presentations covering the rise in use of alternative fuels and how the response industry can prepare for spills of this type.

Further presentations from ITOPF included responding to spills of HNS, and how post-spill monitoring of HNS substances is important for wider public safety and long-term environmental monitoring.
