ITOPF presents at PAJ workshop

On 14th February, ITOPF participated in the annual Petroleum Association of Japan (PAJ) Oil Spill Response Workshop in Tokyo. The theme of the conference was Developments in Oil Spill Response in South-East Asia. David Campion provided an overview of ITOPF’s perspective on shipping incidents within the region, focusing on the development of technology. He discussed the benefits and limitations associated with the increased communication available to enable remote advice; information exchange within a response; and the potential communication to involve global interests at any incident, even in remote locations. There were approximately 100 attendees at the PAJ Workshop, both from Japan and worldwide.
