National Workshop in Cambodia
12 August 2019
David Campion was one of the trainers at a national workshop on oil spill preparedness and response held in Cambodia from 6th-9th August. The event attracted 60 participants from 20 government entities and oil companies and was organised under the framework of the Global Initiative project for South East Asia (GI SEA). The purpose of the workshop was to provide attendees with an understanding of the international framework for oil spill preparedness and response; to update the existing draft National Oil Spill Contingency Plan; and to develop an action plan for its finalisation and implementation. David shared ITOPF’s knowledge and experience of spill-related matters through a series of presentations, illustrated with case histories.
