Webinar on spill preparedness and response readiness during a crisis

ITOPF was invited to join a 90-minute online panel discussion on best practice for the mitigation and management of oil and HNS spills during the current pandemic. The session took place on Thursday 27th August and was organised under the auspices of Oil Spill India.

Richard Johnson and fellow panellists from OSRL, the Indian Coast Guard, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC Limited) and AlphaMers looked at the current state of preparedness and response readiness and discussed the impact of COVID-19 on spill-related activities.

Around 200 delegates tuned in for the discussion from over 20 countries and from a variety of backgrounds, including government departments, oil companies, spill response organisations and academia.
