Stolt Tankers invites ITOPF aboard vessel in Singapore

Stolt Tankers, a leading operator of deep-sea and regional chemical tankers, invited the ITOPF team aboard the Stolt Creativity while at anchor in Singapore. 

The visiting ITOPF team were welcomed by the vessel Captain and Chief Officer, who delivered a presentation covering the technical requirements for transporting specific substances at sea. The visit enabled ITOPF to see these requirements first-hand and the operational realities behind them, as well as understanding the challenges faced by crews. It helped to strengthen the connection between ITOPF's technical advice and the day-to-day practices on board.

ITOPF expressed it was particularly valuable to walk around the deck tanks, hear from the crew directly about handling diverse chemical cargoes, and discuss the safety and environmental considerations that are part of every voyage. ITOPF shared its role in pollution response with the Captain, detailing how its team of technical advisers operate when arriving on-site and the types of activities they undertake.
