ESG/Sustainability Project Coordinator
12-month fixed term contract – based in Central London
The Role
We are seeking an ESG/Sustainability Project Coordinator to join our London team on fixed term basis. As the shipping industry’s leading pollution response advisers, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices have long been entrenched within the company’s strategy and output.
We are currently developing ESG services for our members and associates and our long-term goal is to become a leader in the maritime industry on ESG. To build on our credibility on the topic, we are looking to take a proactive approach to internal ESG self-assessment and to set an example of good practice for the industry.
To help us achieve this, we are looking for an ESG/Sustainability professional who can bring their expertise in this area and work in-house to develop a framework for us to measure and report on our internal ESG practices.
Skills and Experience
We are seeking a passionate ESG professional who holds a degree in ESG/Sustainability (or related discipline). While experience in corporate sustainability, consulting, or NGO environments is preferred, we are also interested in candidates who can demonstrate their passion and capability through academic projects, or other relevant activities.
The ideal candidate will lead and shape our ESG strategy. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, detail oriented, and able to combine their solid understanding and application of ESG and Sustainability frameworks and practices, with interpersonal skills needed to engage and influence stakeholders at all level.
In addition, experience and knowledge working within project management methodologies, such as Agile, is beneficial.
